Jiya is a Grade 11 student at The Woodlands Secondary School with a passion for the intersection between business, economics, politics, and law. Over the course of her highschool experience she has developed that passion through competing in several consulting/pitch competitions, hackathons, and debates, and other such competitions on national and international levels. She strives to be able to ignite and grow that same passion amongst other students through empowerment, and looks forward to being able to achieve that through her role at FBLC. She is particularly excited to spearhead events alongside the council, to make business education/opportunities increasingly accessible, and invigorate the creativity and curiosity that she shares. Outside of competition you can find her playing basketball at her local court, listening to philosophy podcasts, and playing the electric guitar. Jiya hopes to give back to a community that she is eternally grateful to be a part of, and is excited for an incredible year at FBL Canada!
